وما الذي سلّط الريح العقيم على قوم عاد حتى ألقتهم موتى على وجه الأرض» كأنهم أعجاز نخل خاوية» ودمّرت ما مرّت عليه من ديارهم وحروثهم وزروعهم ودوابّهم حتى صاروا عبرة للأمم إلى يوم القيامة.
