قال البخاري في ص حرحه؟: «اباب خوف المؤمن من أن يحبط عمله وهو لا يشعر. وقال إبراهيم النيمي: ما عرضتٌ قولي على عملي إلا خشيثُ أن أكون مكذْبًا. وقال ابن أبي مليكة: أدركث ثلاثين من أصحاب النبى 3 كلهم يخاف النفاق على نفسه » ما منهم أحر؟ يقول إنه على إيمان جبريل وميكائيل. ويذكر عن الحسن: ما خافه إلا مؤمن» ولا أمنّه إلا منافق».
