السادس: أنه إذا تمكن من القلب واستحكم وقوي سلطانه أفسد الذهنّ» وأحدث الوسواسَ. وربما التحق صاحبه بالمجانين الذين فسدت عقولهم فلا ينتفعون بها. وأخبار العشاق في ذلك موجودة في مواضعهاء بل بعضها مشاهد بالعيان.

وأشرف ما فى الإنسان عقله» وبه يتميّرز عن سائر الحيوانات؛ فإذا عدم عقله التحق بالحيوان البهيم ٠» بل ربما كان حال الحيوان أصلح من حاله. وهل أذهب عقلّ مجنون ليلى وأضرابه إلا العشق؟

أمّا الفساد المعنوي فهو تابع لفساد القلب» فإن القلب إذا فسد فسدت العين والأذن واللسان» فيرى القبيح حسنًا منه ومن معشوقه؛ كما فى المسند مرفوعًا: «حبّك للشيء يُعمي ]1/1١4[ وَيُصِمًا. فهو يُعمي عينْ القلب عن رؤية مساوي المحبوب وعيوبه » فلا ترى العين ذلك؛ ويُصِمّ أذنّه عن الإصغاء إلى العذل فيه؛ فلا تسمع الأذن ذلك.
