وفي الصحيحين عنه كلِةٍ: «لا أحد أغيَرُ [81/ب] من الله من أجل ذلك حرّم الفواحش ما ظهر منها وما بطن. ولا أحدّ أحبٌ إليه العذر من الله من أجل ذلك أرسل الرسل مبشرين ومنذرين. ولا أحدّ أحبٌ إليه المدح من الله؛ من أجل ذلك أثنى على نفسه».

وظهور الزنى من أمارات خراب العالم» وهو من أشراط الساعة؛ كما فى الصحيحين عن أنس بن مالك أنّه قال: لأحذتتكم حديثا لا يحدثكموه أحد بعدي سمعثه من النبي كَلِة. سمعت النبي كل يقول: «من أشراط الساعة أن يُرفع العلم» ويظهر الجهل» وَيُشرّب الخمر ويُظهر الزناء ويقلٌ الرجال» وتكثر النساء حتى يكون لخمسين امرأة القيّم الواحد.
