وأصل التدسية الإخفاء. ومنه قوله تعالى: «يَدسُمْ في الاب » [النحل/ 4:]. فالعاصى يدن نفسه فى المعصية؛ ويخفى مكانهاء ويتوارى من الخلق من سوء ما يأتي به؛ قد انقمع عند نفسه؛ وانقمع عند الله وانقمع عند الخلق.

فالطاعة والبرّ تكبّر النفس» وتعزّهاء وتعليهاء. حتى تصير أشرف شيء 4 وأكبره: وأزكاه: وأعلاه؟ٍ ومع ذلك فهي أذل شيء وأحقره وأصغره لله تعالى. وبهذا الذلّ حصل لها هذا العزّ والشرف والنموّ. فما صغر النفوسٌ مثلٌ معصية الله؛ وما كبّرها وشرّفها ورفعها مثلْ طاعة الله.
