وهذا من مغالطة النفس» فإنّ عظمة الله وجلاله في قلب العبد وتعظيم حرماته تحول بينه وبين الذنوب. فالمتجرّئون على معاصيه ما قدروه حقّ قدره» وكيف يقدره حقّ قدره أو يعظّمه ويكبّره ويرجو وقاره ويُجله من يهون عليه أمره ونهيّه؟ هذا من أمحل المحال » وأبين الباطل

وكفى بالعاصي عقوبة أن يضمحلٌ من قلبه تعظيمُ الله جل جلاله؛ وتعظيمُ حرماته؛ ويهونَ عليه حقّه. ومن بعض عقوبة هذا: أن يرفع الله عز وجل مهابته من قلوب الخلق؛ ويهون عليهم» ويستخفون به؛ كما هان عليه أمره» واستخفٌ به. فعلى قدر محبة العبد لله يحبّه الناس. وعلى قدر خوفه من الله يخافه الناس» وعلى قدر تعظيمه لل وحرماتّه يعظّم الناس حرماته.
