ومنها أن المعاصي دزرع أمثالها ويولد ١ بعضها بعضا حتى يعز ل على العبد مفارقتها والخروج منهاء كما قال بعض السلف: إن من عقوبة السيئةٍ السيئةً بعدها» وإنّ من ثواب الحسنةٍ الحسنة بعدها. فالعبد إذا عمل 11/970 حسنة قالت أخرى إلى جانبها: اعملني أيضًاء فإذا عملها قالت الثانية كذلك»؛ وهلم جرّاء فتضاعف الربح 5 ٠ وتزايدت الحسنات. وكذلك جانب؟ السيئات أيضاء حتى تصيرالطاعات والمعاصى هيئات راسخة وصفات لازمة وملكات ثابتة. فلو عطل المحسن الطاعة لضاقت عليه نفسه» وضاقت عليه الأرض بما رحبت » وأحسنّ من نفسه بأنه كالحوت إذا فارق الماء» حتىّ يعاودهاء فتسكن نفسه» وتَقرٌ عينه.

ولو عطّل المجرم المعصية وأقبل على الطاعة لضاقت عليه نفسه؛ وضاق صدره؛ وأُعيّتُ عليه مذاهبه » حتى يعاودها. حتى إن كثيرًا من الفسّاق ليواقع المعصية من غير لذة يجدهاء ولا داعية إليهاء؛ إلا لما يجد من الألم بمفارقتها؛ كما صرح بذلك شيخ القوم الحسن بن هانىء حيث يقول:
