وذكر ابن أبي الدنيا حديثا مرسااٌ أنّ الأرض تزلزلت على عهد رسول الله يل فوضع يده عليهاء ثم قال: «اسكني فإنّه لم بِأنٍ لك بعد». ثم التفت إلى أصحابه؛ فقال: «إِنّ ربكم يستعتبكم فأغتبوه». ثم تزلزلت بالناس على عهد عمر بن الخطاب» فقال: أيها الناس ما كانت هذه الزلزلة إلا عن شيء أحدثتموه. والذي نفسي بيده لئن عادت لا أساكتكم فيها أبدًا
