والله سبحانه إنما حكى هذا المرض عن طائفتين من الناس» وهما اللوطية والنساء. فأخبر عن عشق امرأة العزيز ليوسف وما راودّنه وكادنه به؛ وأخبر عن الحال التي صار إليها يوسف بصبره وعفته وتقواه؛ مع أن الذي ابتلى به أمرٌ لا يصبر عليه إلا من صبّره الله عليه. فإنّ موافقة الفعل بحسب قوة الداعي وزوال المانع» وكان الداعي هاهنا في غاية القوة؛ وذلك من وجوه”ا:

والقسم الثالث من العشق: عشق مباح لا يُملّك؛ كعشق من وصفت له امرأة جميلة» أو رآها فجأة من غير قصد» فأورثه ذلك عشقًا لهاء ولم يُحدِث له ذلك العشق معصيةً؛ فهذا لا يُملّك ولا يعاقّبٍ عليه. والأنفع له مدافعته» والاشتغال بما هو أنفع له. والواجب على هذا أن يكتم؛ ويعفٌ» ويصبر على بلواه. فيثيبه الله على ذلك» ويعوّضه على صبره لله؛ وعفّته»؛ وتركه طاعة هواه» وإيثار مرضاة الله وما عنده.
