بقي القسمان الآخران يتجاذبهما الداعيان» وهما معترك الابتلاء والامتحان. فالنفس تؤثر أقربهما جوارًا منهما» وهو العاجل. والعقل والإيمان يؤثران أنفعهما وأبقاهما. والقلب بين الداعيين» وهو إلى هذا مرة؛ وإلى هذا مرة.
