وقال عبدالله بن عباس: ينظر أعلى بناء في القرية؛ فيرمى اللوطي منه ُنب » ثم يُتبع بالحجارة. وأخذ عبدالله بن عباس هذا الحدّ من عقوبة الله للوطية قوم لوط.

وابن عباس هو الذي روى عن النبي كيةٍ: «من وجدتموه يعمل عمل قوم لوط» فاقتلوا الفاعل والمفعول به». رواه أهل السنن» وصحّحه ابن حبان وغيره» واحتج الإمام أحمد بهذا الحديث. وإسناده على شرط البخاري ٠.
