قال يحيى بن معاذ: القلوب كالقدور تغلى بما فيهاء وألسنتها مغارفها. فانظر الرجل حين يتكلّم» فإنٌ لسانه يغترف لك مما في وَل: حلو وحامض وعذب وأجاج وغير ذلك ٠ ويبين لك طعم قلبه اغترافٌ لسانه.

أي كما تطعم بلسانك طعمٌ ما في القدر من الطعام» فتدرك العلم بحقيقته؛ كذلك تطعم ما فى قلب الرجل من لسانه» فتذوق ما فى قلبه؟ من لسانه» كما تذوق ما فى القدر بلسانك.
