ثم سألوه أن يغفر للتائبين الذين اتبعوا سبيله وهو صراطه الموصل إليه الذي هو معرفته ومحيبتّة وطاعته م فتابوا مما يكره واتبعوا السبيل التي يحبها.

ثم سألوه أن يقيهم عذاب الجحيم» وأن يدخلهم والمؤمنين من أصولهم وفروعهم وأزواجهم جنّاتٍ عدن التي وعدهم بها. وهو سبحانه وإن كان لا يخلف الميعاد فإنّه وعدهم بها بأسباب من جملتها: دعاء ملائكته لهم بأن يدخلهم إياها برحمته؛ فدخلوها برحمته التي منها أن وفقهم لأعمالها 6 وأقام ملائكته يدعون لهم بدخولها:

ثم أخبر سبحانه عن ملائكته أنّهم [57/ب] قالوا عقيب هذه الدعوة: ٍِ إكَ ب الْعَزِيرُ الْحَكِرٌ 0 أي مصدر ذلك وسببه وغايته صادر عن كمال قدرتك وكمال علمك. فالعزة كمال القدرة» والحكمة كمال العلم. وبهاتين الصفتين يقضي سبحانه م يشاء؟.6 ويأمر وينهى؛ ويثيب ويعاقب. فهاتان الصفتان مصدر الخلق والأمر.
