وفي الحلية لأبي نعيم عن حذيفة أنه قيل له: في يوم واحد تركت بنو إسرائيل دينهم؟ قال: لا ولكنهم كانوا إذا أمروا بشيء تركوه» وإذا نهوا عن شىء ركبوه حتى [؟؛ اب] انسلخوا من دينهم » كما ينسلخ الرجل من قميصه.

وفي الحلية أيضًا عن ابن عباس أنه قال: يا صاحب الذنب لا تأَمَنْ سوءٌ عاقبته » ولّما يتبع الذنبّ أعظمٌ من الذنب إذا عملته: قَلَهُ حيائك ممن على اليمين وعلى الشمال» وأنت على الذنب» أعظمُ من الذنب. وضحكُكَ؛ وأنت لا تدري ما الله صانع بك» أعظمٌ من الذنب. وفرححك بالذنب إذا ظفرت به أعظمُ من الذنب. وحزتُك على الذنب إذا فاتك أعظءٌ من الذنب. وخوفُك من الريح إذا حَرَكَتْ سترّ بابك» وأنت على الذنب» ولا يضطرب فؤادك من نظر الله إليك» أعظم من الذنب. ويحك هل تدري ما كان ذنب أيوب,» فابتلاه الله بالبلاء في جسده وذهاب ماله؟ استغاث به مسكين على ظالم يدرؤه عنه» فلم يود( » ولم ينه الظالم عن ظلمه» فابتلاه الله.
