فنذرت أن تحتال لقائلهما إن عرفثه حتّى تجمع بينه وبين من يحبّه. فبينا هي بالمزدلفة إذ سمعث من ينشد البيتين» فطلبته» فزعم أنه قالهما في ابنة عمّ له» نذر أهلها أن لا يزوّجوها منه. فوجّهتْ إلى الحيّ؛ ومازالت تبذل لهم المال حتى زوّجوها منه؛ وإذا المرأة أعشق له منه لها. فكانت تعدّه من أعظم حسناتها» وتقول: ما أنا بشيء أسرٌ مني من جمعي بين ذلك الفتى والفتاة.
