وبالجملة»؛ فحسن الظن إنّما يكون مع انعقاد أسباب النجاح. وأما مع انعقاد أسباب الهلاك» فلا يتأتى إحسان الظن.

قيل: الامر ٠» والله فوق ذلك» واجل واكرم وأجوّد وأرحم. ولكن إنما يضع ذلك في محله اللائق به؛ فإنه سبحانه موصوف بالحكمة 6 والعزة: والانتقام وشدة البطش 1 وعقوبة من يستحق العقوبة: فلو كان [1/11] معولٌ حسن الظنّ على مجرد صفاته وأسمائه لاشترك في ذلك البّ والفاجر 6 والمؤمن والكافر 6 ووليه وعدوه ٠. فما ينقع المجرمٌ أسماؤه وصفاته + وقد باء بسخطه وغضبه؛ وتعرض للعنته؛ وأوضع فى محارمه» وانتهك حرماته؟ بل حسن الظن ينفع من تاب؛ وندم؛ وأقلمع: وبدّل السيئة بالحسنة؛ واستقبل بقية عمره بالخير والطاعة؛ ثم حسّن الظنّ. فهذا حسن الظن » والأول غرور والله المستعان.
