وقد حمى النبي كَل جانبَ التوحيد أعظم حماية؛ حتى نهى عن صلاة التطوع لله سبحانه عند طلوع الشمس وعند غروبها» لثلّ يكون ذريعةٌ إلى التشبّه بِعْبَاد الشمس الذين يسجدون لها في هاتين الحالتين؛ وسدّ الذريعة بأن منع من الصلاة بعد العصر والصبح لاتصال هذين الوقتين بالوقتين اللذين يسجد ا لمشركون فيهما للشمس:
