وفي الصحيحين؟ عنه كله أنّه سل: أيّ الذنب أكبر عند الله؟ قال: «أن تدعو لله نذا وهو خلقك». قيل: ثمّ أيّ؟ قال: «أن تقتل ولدك مخافةً أن يطعم معك». قيل: ثمّ أيّ؟ قال: «أن تزانيّ بحليلة جارك». فأنزل الله تعالى تصديقها: «وَالَذينَ لا ينعت مَمَ أنه ها ءَاخَر ولا بَقْمُُونَ النّفْسَ لق حرم ا إلا لحي ولا بروبب الآية [الفرقان/ 14].
