وذكر الإمام أحمد فى مسنده من حديث قيس بن أبى حازم قال: قال أبو بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه: أيها الناسٍ إنكم تتلون هذه الآية وإنكم تضعونها على غير مواضعها: # يتايها الذين ءامتوا علي أنفسكو لا صر كن صل إذَا 0 [المائدة/.]٠0 وإني سمعت رسول الله كيةٍ يقول: «إن الناس إذا رأوا الظالم» فلم يأخذوا على يديه وفي لفظ: إذا رأوا المنكر» فلم يغيّروه أوشك أن يعمّهم الله بعقاب من عنده».
